Although still very young, LR has been conceived a long time before it was actually launched. The initial concept was created by Luis Raifer, who was Chairman and CEO of Colterenzio for many years and, who pioneered quality viticulture in Alto Adige; his idea was to craft an exclusive, distinctive, terroir-driven wine, capable of impressing very demanding customers, and enhancing Colterenzio brand, at the same time.
Many experiments and trials were carried out since then and finally, in 2014, the first vintage, 2011, was launched, as an homage to Luis Raifer, whose initials became the name of the wine. Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer (vintage 2015 without Gewürztraminer) are the varietals of this elegant and unique cuvée, which refines on the fine lees and in oak, and is presented in an extraordinary, sophisticated packaging.
A transparent bottle through which you can see the label in Baroque style, changing on every vintage, wrapped into a fine silver net, reminiscent of a fine lace corset, to emphasize the sensual elegance and feminity of the wine. The four vintages of LR, 2011, 2012, 2013 & the new vintage 2015 are sold today in the most exclusive wine shops and restaurants. Many sommeliers and wine professionals rave about this wine and its luxurious packaging.
